Overview

ART-AN-070 is a feed-grade hydrolyzed yeast produced from selected inactive yeast biomass through controlled cell disruption and drying. The process makes intracellular nutrients more accessible while retaining yeast cell wall components such as mannan oligosaccharides and beta-glucan fractions. It is intended for use as a functional nutritional ingredient in complete feeds, premixes, milk replacers, aquatic feeds, and specialty animal nutrition blends.

Typical specification targets include crude protein 40-50%, moisture max. 8.0%, crude ash max. 8.0%, beta-glucan plus mannan-rich cell wall fraction 20-30%, and particle size commonly 80 mesh pass for uniform premix distribution. The product is inactive and is not supplied with a live CFU guarantee. Color is light yellow to tan, with a characteristic yeast odor and free-flowing powder or fine granule appearance. For adjacent feed yeast ingredients, see animal nutrition yeast products.

Applications

  • Poultry feed: inclusion in broiler, layer, and breeder formulas where formulators need yeast-derived protein, peptides, and cell wall fractions in mash, crumble, or pelleted diets.
  • Swine nutrition: suitable for nursery, grower-finisher, and sow feed programs, especially where palatability and consistent premix handling are procurement priorities.
  • Ruminant feeds: used in calf starters, dairy premixes, beef supplements, and mineral blends as a non-live yeast-derived nutrient source.
  • Aquaculture diets: compatible with shrimp, fish, and specialty aquatic feeds requiring fine particle distribution and stable dry storage performance.
  • Pet and specialty feed manufacturing: applicable in dry premixes or extrusion systems after validation of inclusion rate, process temperature, and finished-feed sensory targets.

Storage and Handling

Store unopened sacks in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, ideally below 25°C and away from direct sunlight, water, strong odors, and chemicals. Standard shelf life is typically 18-24 months from production date when stored in original sealed packaging and protected from humidity. Reseal partly used sacks promptly and follow first-in, first-out inventory control. Because the product is hygroscopic, avoid condensation during container unloading and warehouse transfers.

Quality and Documentation

Each lot can be supplied with a certificate of analysis covering core feed parameters such as appearance, moisture, crude protein, ash, particle size, and applicable microbiological limits, including Salmonella absent in 25 g when specified. Manufacturing and supplier controls are aligned with feed and food safety systems; HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, feed-grade declaration, SDS, allergen statement, GMO status, and country-of-origin documentation are available on request where applicable. Visit quality documentation to review ArtemisYeast documentation practices before supplier approval.

Storage & Handling

Refer to the CoA for product-specific storage conditions. Ship cold-chain where required.

Quality & Documentation

Manufactured under ISO-aligned quality management systems. Full documentation — Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), formulation summary, and stability data — is available on request. Email info@artemisyeast.com with the SKU.
