Overview
ART-AN-005 is a r+ active dry yeast product for animal nutrition applications, produced from selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains and dried to preserve live cell activity. It is designed for inclusion in compound feeds, mineral premixes, top-dress blends, and specialty nutrition programs where a concentrated yeast source is required. Typical specification targets include viable yeast count of not less than 5×10^10 CFU/g, moisture not more than 8.0%, crude protein about 38-45%, ash not more than 8.0%, and tan to light brown granules with characteristic yeast aroma.
The product is positioned for ruminant feed formulation but can also be evaluated in poultry, swine, and aquaculture systems according to local feed regulations and nutritionist guidance. Particle size is generally suitable for direct premix dispersion, with common screening in the 20-80 mesh range unless otherwise agreed. For adjacent feed yeast formats, see the animal nutrition yeast category. For procurement planning, ArtemisYeast can provide batch-specific specification sheets and a bulk quote on request based on sack quantity, pallet format, port, and delivery terms.
Applications
- Ruminant compound feed: inclusion in dairy, beef, sheep, and goat rations where formulators require live yeast activity in a dry, metered ingredient format.
- Premix and concentrate manufacturing: blending into vitamin-mineral premixes, protein concentrates, and functional feed packs; low moisture supports storage stability and flow in dry mixing systems.
- Poultry and swine feed: evaluation in breeder, layer, broiler, piglet, grower, and sow formulas where yeast culture compatibility, pelleting conditions, and declared CFU targets are reviewed by the nutrition team.
- Aquaculture feed: use in fish and shrimp nutrition programs when a yeast-based ingredient is specified and processing temperature exposure is controlled to maintain viable count.
- Distributor private-label supply: 25 kg sacks can be palletized for regional feed distributors, toll blenders, and integrators seeking repeatable batch documentation and wholesale supply continuity.
Storage and Handling
Store ART-AN-005 in the original sealed 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse. Recommended storage temperature is below 25 °C, away from direct sunlight, condensation, strong odors, and chemical materials. Under recommended conditions, typical shelf life is up to 24 months from production, subject to the confirmed batch CoA and packaging date.
Because this is a live active dry yeast, avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity, open air, and elevated pelleting temperatures. If pelleting is required, validate post-process CFU recovery under the plant's own steam conditioning, die, residence time, and cooling parameters. Use clean handling equipment and reseal opened sacks promptly, or transfer contents to a dry closed container for short-term use.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supports feed manufacturers with specification-grade procurement documentation. Available documents may include certificate of analysis, product specification, safety data sheet, non-animal-origin statement where applicable, allergen and GMO status statement when available, and packing list for export clearance. Microbiological and chemical parameters can be reviewed before order confirmation, including viable count, moisture, appearance, odor, heavy metal limits, and absence of objectionable contaminants according to agreed feed-grade standards.
Manufacturing and supply controls are aligned with feed and food safety management expectations. HACCP-aligned process information and ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, or Kosher documentation may be supplied on request where applicable to the producing site and batch. Buyers can review ArtemisYeast quality practices at quality and documentation before placing a wholesale inquiry. Final suitability should be confirmed by the buyer's regulatory, QA, and nutrition teams for the destination market and intended animal species.
