Overview
ART-AN-042 is a feed-grade active dry yeast designed for inclusion in compound feed, mineral premixes, top-dress blends, and aquaculture diets where live yeast contribution, protein content, and handling stability are required. The material is based on dried Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells processed to retain viability during normal feed ingredient storage and distribution. Typical specification targets include viable yeast count of not less than 5×10^10 CFU/g at manufacture, moisture not more than 8.0%, crude protein approximately 40% minimum, ash not more than 8.0%, and a fine free-flowing powder or granule profile suitable for feed blending.
This SKU is positioned for procurement teams that need a practical bulk yeast ingredient rather than a retail supplement format. It can be evaluated with other animal nutrition yeast products for ration design, palatability work, and premix compatibility. Because yeast viability may decline under high heat or extended humidity exposure, formulation teams should validate retention under their own pelleting, extrusion, and storage conditions.
Applications
- Dairy and beef rations: inclusion in total mixed rations, mineral packs, and concentrate feeds where a live yeast source is specified for rumen-oriented nutrition programs.
- Swine and poultry feed: use in starter, grower, breeder, and specialty formulations where feed mills require a yeast-derived ingredient with controlled moisture and lot traceability.
- Aquaculture feed: use in fish and shrimp diets, either in dry premixes or post-process applications, with validation recommended when feeds are extruded or exposed to steam conditioning.
- Premix and integrator supply: packed in 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sacks for palletized movement, warehouse handling, and dosing into macro or micro ingredient systems.
- R&D evaluation: suitable for bench trials, pilot feed runs, and comparative ingredient screening. For production allocation, submit specifications through request a quote so our team can confirm packaging, volume, and shipment lane.
Storage and Handling
Store unopened sacks in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight, condensation, strong odors, and chemicals. Recommended storage is below 25°C with relative humidity controlled where possible. Keep bags sealed until use, then reclose partial bags promptly to limit moisture pickup. Under suitable conditions, typical shelf life is up to 24 months from manufacture, subject to the batch CoA and local storage conditions.
For pelleted or extruded feeds, add after high-temperature steps when feasible, or apply an overage based on validated process losses. Avoid prolonged exposure to steam, free water, and high shear points that may reduce viable count.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-042 with procurement documentation appropriate for feed ingredient qualification. A typical batch file may include certificate of analysis, product specification, safety data sheet, ingredient declaration, GMO status statement where available, and country-of-origin or packing details as required for import clearance. Microbiological, heavy metal, moisture, protein, and viable count results can be aligned to the agreed specification for the confirmed lot.
Manufacturing and packing documentation may reference HACCP-aligned controls, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, or other food and feed safety records when available for the supplying site and batch. Review current document options through our quality and documentation team before placing a bulk order.
Storage & Handling
Refer to the CoA for product-specific storage conditions. Ship cold-chain where required.
