Yeast Mannan Oligosaccharide Feed Ingredient

SKU: ART-AN-053 · Size: 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack

Yeast mannan oligosaccharide is a feed-grade yeast cell wall ingredient concentrated in mannan-rich carbohydrates for livestock, poultry, ruminant, swine, and aquaculture diets. ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-060 as a bulk feed ingredient in 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sacks for premix plants, feed mills, integrators, and aquafeed manufacturers. Typical technical files define moisture, beta-glucan, mannan oligosaccharide content, particle size, microbiological limits, and heavy metals. Overview

ART-AN-060 is an S-mannan oligosaccharide, commonly specified as yeast MOS, produced from processed yeast cell wall fractions. It is an inactive, non-viable ingredient; live yeast CFU/g is not the controlling specification. The value of the material is based on its insoluble and soluble cell wall carbohydrate profile, especially mannan oligosaccharides and beta-glucans, together with residual protein, ash, and low moisture. It is designed for dry feed systems where consistent dispersion and lot-to-lot documentation are required.

Typical specification targets, subject to confirmation by certificate of analysis, include moisture not more than 8.0%, crude protein 20-35%, total mannan oligosaccharides 20-30%, beta-glucan 15-25%, ash not more than 8.0%, and 95% passing 60-80 mesh depending on the ordered grade. Appearance is tan to light brown powder with a characteristic yeast odor and no foreign material under normal inspection. For related feed yeast ingredients, see the animal nutrition yeast category.

Applications

  • Poultry and swine feed: Used in premixes, concentrates, and complete feeds where nutritionists require a yeast cell wall carbohydrate source with controlled moisture and particle size.
  • Ruminant nutrition: Suitable for dairy, beef, calf, and small ruminant formulations, including mineral premixes, top-dress products, and compound feed programs.
  • Aquaculture feed: Applied in extruded or pelleted diets for fish and shrimp where water stability, uniform powder dispersion, and low dust handling are important.
  • Feed mill and premix operations: Compatible with ribbon mixers, paddle mixers, dosing systems, and bagged feed ingredient warehouses. Inclusion rate should be set by the customer’s nutritionist and verified in the finished formula.
  • Contract manufacturing: Available for private-label feed ingredient programs, regional distribution, and integrated supply contracts. Request a bulk quote with target grade, destination port, order volume, and documentation requirements.

Storage and Handling

Store ART-AN-060 in its original sealed 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from standing water, condensation, direct sunlight, strong odors, and materials that may compromise feed hygiene. Recommended storage is below 25°C with relative humidity below 65% where practical. Use first-in, first-out stock rotation after receipt. Typical shelf life is 24 months from manufacture when packaging remains unopened and storage conditions are controlled. Reseal partly used sacks and avoid prolonged exposure to humid air.

Quality and Documentation

Each commercial lot can be supplied with a certificate of analysis covering identity, appearance, moisture, key nutritional parameters, particle size where specified, and selected microbiological and contaminant limits. Typical microbiological controls may include total plate count, yeasts and molds, coliforms, and Salmonella not detected in the tested sample size, according to the agreed specification. Heavy metal limits are set for feed-grade use and confirmed by the applicable lot document.

Manufacturing is managed under feed safety and HACCP-aligned controls. Documentation such as CoA, specification sheet, feed-grade declaration, non-GMO statement, Halal, Kosher, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 certificates may be provided when applicable to the producing site and lot. Review available quality documentation before confirming long-term procurement contracts.

Storage & Handling

Refer to the CoA for product-specific storage conditions. Ship cold-chain where required.

Quality & Documentation

Manufactured under ISO-aligned quality management systems. Full documentation — Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), formulation summary, and stability data — is available on request. Email info@artemisyeast.com with the SKU.
