Overview

ART-AN-090 T Yeast Cell Wall is produced from selected yeast biomass and processed to concentrate the insoluble cell wall fraction. The material is non-viable, free-flowing, and designed for dry blending into complete feed, concentrates, premixes, mineral-vitamin packs, and aquafeed. For related feed ingredients, see the animal nutrition yeast category.

Typical specification targets include moisture ≤8.0%, crude protein 20-35%, beta-glucan 20-30%, mannan oligosaccharides 18-28%, ash ≤8.0%, and particle size typically 80 mesh pass, subject to batch confirmation. As a yeast cell wall ingredient, it contributes fermentable and non-starch polysaccharide fractions rather than live colony-forming units. It is used where formulators need a heat-stable yeast-derived component compatible with pelleting, extrusion, and mash feed systems.

Applications

  • Poultry feed: Inclusion in broiler, layer, breeder, and starter programs where nutritionists specify yeast cell wall fiber, beta-glucan, and MOS sources for ration differentiation.
  • Swine feed: Suitable for creep feed, nursery, grower, finisher, and sow formulations, including premixes requiring low-moisture powder handling and repeatable dispersion.
  • Ruminant nutrition: Used in dairy, beef, calf, sheep, and goat feeds as a yeast-derived cell wall component for TMR, concentrate, and mineral block applications.
  • Aquaculture: Applicable in shrimp, tilapia, carp, salmonid, marine fish, and hatchery feeds where extrusion tolerance, powder flow, and water-stable feed design are important.
  • Pet food and specialty feed: Can be evaluated in dry kibble, supplements, and functional premixes. For procurement, send formula targets through request quote for matching grade, pack size, and shipment lane.

Storage and Handling

Standard packing is 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack with inner liner or equivalent export-ready packaging. Store sealed bags in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, away from condensation, direct sunlight, strong odors, and chemicals. Recommended storage temperature is below 25°C with relative humidity controlled where possible. Typical shelf life is 24 months from manufacture when stored in original unopened packaging.

Use standard dust-control practices during tipping, weighing, and pneumatic transfer. Reseal partly used bags and apply first-in, first-out inventory control. Confirm final inclusion rate through species, diet phase, local regulation, and feed manufacturing validation.

Quality and Documentation

Each lot can be supplied with batch-specific Certificate of Analysis covering core parameters such as appearance, moisture, protein, ash, beta-glucan, MOS, particle size, and microbiological indicators as agreed in the purchase specification. Heavy metals, mycotoxin screening, GMO statement, allergen statement, origin statement, and feed-grade declaration can be provided on request where required by the importing country or customer quality plan.

Manufacturing is managed under feed-safety and HACCP-aligned controls. ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, and other documentation may be available depending on production site and requested grade; confirm during inquiry. ArtemisYeast supports specification review through the quality documentation process before order release.

Storage & Handling
