Overview
ART-AN-073 is a feed-grade yeast culture produced by controlled fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, followed by drying and milling into a free-flowing tan to brown powder. Unlike purified live active dry yeast, yeast culture includes yeast biomass plus fermentation media components, peptides, amino acids, B-complex nutrients, nucleotides, mannan-oligosaccharide fractions, beta-glucan fractions, organic acids, and aroma compounds generated during fermentation. This profile makes it suitable for formulation teams that want a broad yeast-derived ingredient rather than a single standardized isolate.
Indicative specification ranges can be aligned to contract requirements: moisture typically ≤10.0%, crude protein 18-28%, crude ash ≤8.0%, beta-glucan 5-12%, mannan 4-10%, and particle size generally 20-60 mesh. Viable yeast count may be specified where required, commonly from 1×108 to 1×109 CFU/g depending on drying target and formula design; non-viable yeast-culture grades are also available for heat-stable inclusion. See related feed ingredients in animal nutrition yeast or submit target parameters through bulk quote on request.
Applications
- Ruminant feeds: inclusion in dairy cow, beef cattle, goat, and sheep rations where nutritionists require yeast-derived fermentation products for total mixed ration, mineral premix, or pelleted feed formats.
- Swine diets: use in starter, grower, finisher, sow, and gilt formulations as a palatable yeast culture ingredient contributing protein, amino acids, nucleotides, and cell-wall fractions.
- Poultry feeds: suitable for broiler, layer, breeder, turkey, and duck feed systems, including mash, crumble, and pellet manufacturing, subject to thermal process validation.
- Aquaculture feeds: used in fish and shrimp feed formulas where formulators need yeast biomass, nitrogen compounds, and fermentation metabolites with controlled moisture and powder flow.
- Premix and concentrate production: compatible with vitamin-mineral premixes, yeast blends, functional feed additives, and custom livestock concentrates when mixer uniformity and segregation control are verified.
- Pet and specialty animal feeds: applicable for dry pet food, treats, and specialty nutrition blends requiring yeast aroma, nutrient contribution, and documented feed-grade sourcing.
Storage and Handling
Store ART-AN-073 in the original 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight, standing water, volatile chemicals, and strong odors. Recommended storage is below 25°C and below 65% relative humidity where feasible. Typical shelf life is 12 months from production date when the bag remains sealed and storage conditions are controlled; extended shelf-life targets can be reviewed by lot history and moisture specification.
After opening, reseal the bag or transfer contents to a clean, dry, covered container to limit moisture uptake and caking. For pelleting or extrusion, validate post-process viability if a live-count specification is required, because temperature, retention time, steam conditioning, and pressure can reduce CFU/g. Standard feed mill PPE and dust-control practices are recommended during weighing, dumping, and conveying. Avoid cross-contact with prohibited materials according to the buyer’s feed safety program.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-073 for commercial feed and premix manufacturing under specification-led procurement. Each lot can be supported with a Certificate of Analysis covering appearance, moisture, crude protein, ash, particle size, microbiological indicators, and any contracted live-count target. Heavy metals, mycotoxin screening, allergen statements, non-GMO statements, Halal, Kosher, HACCP, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 documentation can be provided when available for the selected production site and batch.
Procurement teams may request sample quantities, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, country-of-origin details, label information, and shipping documents during supplier qualification. ArtemisYeast can align specifications for private-label feed additives, distributor programs, or annual supply contracts. Visit quality and documentation for our documentation workflow, then request a quotation with destination port, annual volume, required certificates, target CFU/g if applicable, and packaging preference.
