Overview
ART-AN-016 is a feed-grade yeast culture produced by controlled yeast fermentation followed by drying and milling to a flowable meal or granular powder. It provides yeast-derived proteins, amino acids, nucleotides, fermentation solids, mannan-containing cell wall fractions, beta-glucan-containing fractions, and residual fermentation nutrients. The ingredient is used where formulators want a non-liquid yeast culture for dry feed blending, top dressing, premix inclusion, or pelleted ration manufacturing.
Typical specification targets may include moisture ≤10.0%, crude protein ≥18.0%, crude fiber ≤12.0%, ash ≤8.0%, and particle size with most material passing 20 mesh, subject to the confirmed lot specification. Where a viable yeast count is required, lots can be discussed against a target such as ≥1.0×10^9 CFU/g; alternatively, the product may be supplied as a fermentation culture ingredient without a live-count guarantee. Review more feed ingredients in animal nutrition yeast or submit a bulk quote on request for pallet or container quantities.
Applications
- Ruminant feed: inclusion in dairy, beef, calf, sheep, and goat rations where yeast culture solids are specified for fermentation support, palatability, and ration consistency.
- Swine nutrition: use in sow, nursery, grower, and finisher feeds as a yeast-derived nutritional component, typically blended through premix or complete-feed systems.
- Poultry feed: incorporation into broiler, layer, breeder, duck, and turkey formulas where dry yeast culture is required for feed manufacturing compatibility.
- Aquaculture diets: use in extruded or pelleted feeds for fish and shrimp, subject to customer validation for water stability, pellet durability, and species-specific inclusion rate.
- Premix and additive manufacturing: suitable for blending with minerals, vitamins, amino acids, binders, carriers, and other feed additives when particle size and moisture specifications are aligned.
Storage and Handling
Store ART-AN-016 in the original 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack in a dry, ventilated warehouse at ambient temperature, ideally below 25°C and away from condensation, direct sunlight, and strong odors. Keep pallets off the floor and protected from moisture ingress during inland transport and sea freight staging. Typical shelf life is 12 to 24 months from manufacture when unopened and stored under recommended conditions, depending on the confirmed specification and whether viable count is part of the purchase requirement.
Use standard feed-plant dust controls during tipping, conveying, and mixing. Reseal part-used sacks promptly and rotate inventory by first-expiry-first-out practice.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-016 for B2B feed procurement with lot traceability and specification review before shipment. A certificate of analysis can include moisture, crude protein, ash, sensory status, particle size, and microbiological indicators such as total plate count, yeast and mold, coliforms, Salmonella status, or other agreed parameters. Heavy metals, mycotoxin screening, and viable yeast count can be quoted where required by the purchasing specification.
Manufacturing documentation may reference HACCP-aligned controls, GMP-style feed handling, and food-safety or feed-safety documentation available on request, such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, or Kosher status where applicable to the production site and lot. Procurement teams can review document availability through quality documentation before issuing a purchase order.
