Yeast Cell Wall for Animal Feed and Aquaculture
Yeast cell wall is a feed-grade insoluble fraction of Saccharomyces cerevisiae composed mainly of beta-glucans, mannans, proteins, and structural fibers. ART-AN-030 is supplied for livestock, poultry, swine, ruminant, pet food, and aquaculture formulations where formulators need a consistent yeast-derived functional ingredient. ArtemisYeast offers this product in 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sacks, with wholesale pricing on request for distributors, feed mills, integrators, and premix manufacturers.

Overview
ART-AN-030 is a feed-grade yeast cell wall ingredient produced from selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae raw material and processed to concentrate the cell wall fraction. The product is typically specified as a tan to light-brown powder with a characteristic yeast aroma, low free-flowing dust level, and particle size suitable for premix and complete-feed manufacture. It is intended for use as a nutritional and functional fiber component in animal feed and aquaculture diets, not as a live yeast culture.
Typical specification targets include moisture not more than 8.0%, crude protein 18-28%, total beta-glucan not less than 25%, mannan oligosaccharides not less than 20%, ash not more than 8%, and particle size 95% passing 80 mesh, depending on lot and grade confirmation. These values are provided as realistic formulation references; final purchasing specifications should be confirmed by lot CoA. Applications
- Aquaculture feed: used in shrimp, tilapia, carp, salmonid, and marine fish feeds where yeast-derived beta-glucans and mannans are specified as part of the nutrition matrix.
- Poultry diets: suitable for broiler, layer, and breeder premixes, concentrates, and compound feed where consistent particle size and blendability are required.
- Swine nutrition: applied in creep feed, starter feed, sow feed, and grower-finisher formulations as a yeast cell wall source compatible with meal, pellet, and crumble formats.
- Ruminant feed: used in dairy, beef, calf, sheep, and goat rations, including mineral premixes, TMR supplements, and specialty feed blocks subject to process validation.
- Pet food and specialty feed: can be evaluated in extruded kibble, wet food systems, and nutritional blends where feed-grade yeast fractions are permitted by the buyer’s market regulations.
- Premix manufacturing: supplied for dry blending with carriers, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, yeast culture products, and other feed additives after compatibility testing.
Storage and Handling
Standard packing for ART-AN-030 is a 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack with inner liner, palletized for container or truck shipment. Store unopened bags in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight, condensation, strong odors, and pest exposure. Recommended storage conditions are below 25°C and relative humidity below 65% where practical. Under appropriate storage, typical shelf life is 24 months from production date, subject to the confirmed lot documentation.
Use normal feed-ingredient handling controls during receiving, sampling, batching, and transfer. Reseal opened bags and use promptly to limit moisture uptake. The powder should be introduced through calibrated dosing systems and validated for uniform dispersion in premix or complete feed. For pelleting, extrusion, or high-shear processing, customers should confirm performance under their own residence time, steam, and temperature conditions.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-030 for professional feed production with lot traceability, batch coding, and specification review before shipment. A Certificate of Analysis can be provided on request and may include appearance, moisture, protein, ash, beta-glucan, mannan oligosaccharides, particle size, and microbiological indicators such as total plate count, yeast and mold, coliforms, Salmonella, and heavy metals according to the agreed specification.
Manufacturing and supplier documentation is managed through a feed-ingredient quality program aligned with HACCP principles. Site documentation may include ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, feed-grade statement, allergen statement, non-GMO statement, and country-of-origin information where applicable to the producing site and lot. Buyers can review the documentation workflow at quality and documentation before requesting samples or commercial supply.
