Overview

ART-AN-101 is a feed-grade yeast extract produced from non-viable yeast biomass by controlled autolysis and separation to concentrate water-soluble yeast solids. The resulting powder is designed for nutrition-formulation use where palatability, consistent nitrogen contribution, and yeast-derived functional fractions are required. It is not a live yeast product and should not be specified by CFU/g; procurement specifications should instead reference composition, moisture, particle size, microbiological limits, and documentation.

Typical indicative specifications include crude protein 45–55%, moisture not more than 8%, ash not more than 15%, total amino acids 35–45%, beta-glucan and mannan fractions present from yeast cell material, and 95% pass through 80 mesh unless otherwise agreed. Color is light tan to brown, with a characteristic savory yeast aroma. For related feed yeast formats, see the animal nutrition yeast category.

Applications

  • Poultry feed: inclusion in broiler, layer, breeder, and starter diets where formulators need yeast-derived soluble peptides, nucleotides, and natural palatability support.
  • Premix and concentrate manufacturing: dry blending into vitamin-mineral premixes, specialty feed additives, and complete feed systems; typical inclusion depends on formulation objectives, species, and cost-in-use targets.
  • Swine and ruminant nutrition: suitable for piglet, sow, dairy, and beef formulations requiring a consistent inactive yeast extract with controlled moisture and particle size.
  • Aquaculture and pet food: applicable in fish, shrimp, and companion-animal formulas where yeast extract contributes savory profile, soluble nitrogen, and fermentation-derived components.
  • Manufacturing operations: supplied for industrial feed mills using ribbon blenders, paddle mixers, micro-dosing systems, or premix lines; evaluate flowability and dust control under site-specific conditions.

Storage and Handling

Store ART-AN-101 in the original sealed 25 kg woven polypropylene feed sack in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, away from condensation, direct sunlight, strong odors, and incompatible chemicals. Recommended storage is below 25 °C and below 65% relative humidity where practical. Keep pallets off the floor and use standard first-expire, first-out inventory control.

Typical shelf life is 18–24 months from manufacture when unopened and stored as recommended; the confirmed shelf life is stated on the certificate of analysis or product label for each lot. After opening, reseal promptly and avoid moisture pickup, caking, and cross-contamination. Use local dust-control procedures during tipping and dosing.

Quality and Documentation

ArtemisYeast supplies ART-AN-101 for B2B feed manufacturing with lot-level traceability and specification review before shipment. A certificate of analysis can cover moisture, crude protein, ash, particle size, sensory attributes, and microbiological parameters such as total plate count, yeast and mold, coliforms, and Salmonella status according to agreed methods.

Manufacturing documentation may include HACCP-aligned controls, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, non-GMO statement, feed-grade declaration, allergen statement, SDS, and country-of-origin documents where available for the producing site and lot. Buyers can review document packages through quality and documentation before contracting. Wholesale pricing on request is available for container, pallet, and distributor programs.
