Industrial Bioethanol Yeast
Industrial bioethanol yeast is an active dry Saccharomyces cerevisiae culture selected for high-yield ethanol fermentation in starch-based and cellulosic fuel alcohol plants. ART-BW-020 is supplied for industrial processors requiring temperature tolerance up to 38 °C, reliable propagation after rehydration, and practical resistance to common hydrolysate inhibitors. It is packed in 25 kg multi-wall sacks for palletized or containerized supply, with wholesale pricing on request for qualified bulk inquiries.

Overview
ART-BW-020 is an industrial active dry yeast formulated for bioethanol production from corn, wheat, cassava, molasses, and lignocellulosic hydrolysates after appropriate pretreatment. The culture is selected for rapid fermentation start, stable ethanol conversion, and robust performance in high-solids mashes where osmotic pressure, organic acids, furfural, and hydroxymethylfurfural can reduce ordinary yeast activity. It is intended for fuel ethanol operations, pilot plants, and R&D scale-up work that require a consistent dry yeast input rather than liquid cream yeast logistics.
Typical specification targets include moisture ≤8.0%, viable cell count ≥2.0×10^10 CFU/g at packing, cream to light beige granules, and a practical particle profile around 20-60 mesh. Recommended fermentation conditions are commonly pH 3.5-5.5 and 30-38 °C, subject to the customer’s substrate, nutrient profile, enzyme system, and plant residence time. For adjacent fermentation ingredients, see the brewing and winemaking yeast category, or submit a bulk quote on request with your mash type and annual demand.
Applications
- Fuel ethanol plants: Direct inoculation or propagated use in starch-based ethanol lines using corn, wheat, cassava, sorghum, or other fermentable grain streams.
- Cellulosic ethanol development: Suitable for evaluation in hydrolysates where acetic acid, furans, phenolics, and mixed sugars create higher stress than conventional grain mash.
- High-gravity fermentation: Designed for concentrated mashes where yeast must tolerate elevated sugar, rising ethanol concentration, and heat generated during large-tank fermentation.
- Process troubleshooting: Useful for plants comparing yeast performance under different nutrient programs, backset ratios, temperature profiles, and contamination-control procedures.
- R&D and scale-up: Supplied in industrial packaging for pilot runs, validation batches, and procurement trials before pallet or container orders.
The product is not positioned as a beverage yeast for flavor expression; the specification priority is ethanol yield, fermentation speed, and stress tolerance in industrial bioethanol operations.
Storage and Handling
Store unopened sacks in a cool, dry, odor-free warehouse, ideally below 25 °C and away from direct sunlight, steam lines, floor moisture, and oxidizing chemicals. Keep packaging sealed until use because active dry yeast is hygroscopic; moisture pickup can reduce flowability and viable count. Typical shelf life is up to 24 months from manufacture when stored under recommended conditions, but confirm the lot-specific date on the certificate of analysis.
For use, rehydrate or disperse according to the plant’s standard operating procedure. Avoid contact with very hot water, concentrated sanitizer, or high-shear transfer that may reduce cell viability. Once opened, reseal and consume promptly.
Quality and Documentation
ArtemisYeast supplies ART-BW-020 under controlled procurement, batch traceability, and specification review suitable for industrial fermentation buyers. Standard shipment documentation may include product specification, certificate of analysis, safety data sheet, packing list, and country-of-origin details. Lot testing can cover moisture, viable count, appearance, microbiological indicators, and packaging integrity, depending on order requirements.
HACCP-aligned manufacturing information and food-safety or feed-safety documentation such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, or Kosher status may be available on request where applicable to the production site and shipment lot. Buyers can review documentation expectations through our quality and documentation process before placing a bulk inquiry. Custom labeling, pallet configuration, and export documents can be discussed during quotation.
